Data Security

Question: Does Legal Metrics store my data?

Answer

We know your database contains your most sensitive data, which is why Legal Metrics does not store your individual row level data in our servers. This means that your data sits securely within your system at all times. You retain full ownership and control over your data.

When a user runs a report, Legal Metrics is accessing aggregate information related only to the metrics in which your organization participates. Legal Metrics stores only aggregate results and no personally identifiable information.

Effectively, your participation in Legal Metrics is fully controlled by you, and the report data is no more than what you would electively share in surveys.

Once the query to aggregate data completes, Legal Metrics will display the results on your dashboard.

When exactly is the data aggregated?

There are three occasions when your query results are moved to our aggregate server.

First, when pushing the onboarding aggregate data related only to the metrics in which your organization participates.

Second, when you work with your Onboarding Service Representative to add new items to your Metrics Directory. This typically will not require a reload of the data, but it is always a good idea to confirm expectations.

Third, when there may be a ‘just in time’ request for a data refresh. This may be in the middle of a month where a Request For Proposal (RFP) is being prepared, and the most up to date information is needed. Contact your Onboarding Service Representative or send an email to info@legalmetrics.com

What is the aggregated data retention period?

Aggregated data is stored as long as you are a Legal Metrics participant.

Aggregated data can be delivered to a secure data location of your choice should you choose to do so. Contact your Onboarding Service Representative or send an email to info@legalmetrics.com
